Community Update 

October 2nd- 6th

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We started off the week off on Monday with Photo Day. Tuesday was our Annual Toonies for Terry Fox Walk. All students from JK to 6 walked together for the cause! We exceeded our fundraising goal, and as promised, Ms AB received a face paint makeover from our Grade 6 students! On Wednesday, Ms McCord, our math partner, visited some of our math classes and worked with both teachers and students on mathematics. And on the same day our Boys Soccer Team headed to St. Gemma for their tournament. Way to go boys! We ended the week with our Terry Fox Assembly. Many thanks to Ms Coliaicovo and Ms Troccoli as well as the rest of the staff for all their
hard work on this initiative!

We are greatly relieved to move into this week with cooler temperatures. Parents are welcome to join us for our WITS assembly on Tuesday morning in the gym and for our Thanksgiving Mass on Thursday morning at St. Anthony Church. Please take note that this coming Friday is a PD Day and that Monday is Thanksgiving. There will be no school on both Friday and Monday.

Coming up the following week, all parents are invited to our School Council Meeting (oct. 12) at 3:10 – 4:10 pm in the Learning Commons. Babysitting and snacks will be provided throughout the meeting.
